This Chicken and Sausage Casserole Recipe is perfect for a family of four or less with the possibilities for leftovers for the next day.

The Bag of Bacon Bits can be replaced with chopped up freshly cooked bacon of your choice which makes it taste and smell much better.

Ingredients:

  • (1 lb.) Ground Chicken
  • (1) 22oz Jar of Alfredo Sauce
  • (1) Box of Banquet Brown N’ Serve Original Sausage Links (10 Sticks) (Thawed & Chopped)
  • (1) 12oz Bag of Frozen Pepper and Onion (Thawed & Drained)
  • (1) 16oz Bag of Egg Noodles
  • (1) 16oz Bag of Mild Cheddar Cheese
  • (4 Slices) Mozzarella Cheese
  • (4 Slices) White American Cheese.
  • (1) 3oz Bag of Bacon Bits
  • Cooking Spray
  • Canola Oil
  • Seasoned Salt
  • Crushed Red Pepper
  • Garlic Powder
  • Poultry Seasoning
  • Italian Bread Crumbs

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Place the Sausage on a skillet sprayed with Cooking Spray and cook thoroughly.
  • Once cooked, place them inside a large mixing bowl.
  • Season the Ground Chicken with Crushed Red Pepper, Garlic Powder, and Poultry Seasonings (Amount varies to your preference).
  • Place into skillet and cook thoroughly.
  • Once cooked, place it into the bowl.
  • Sprinkle in some Cheddar Cheese and mix.
  • Cook the Noodles thoroughly as directed with a dash of Canola Oil.
  • Drain the Noodles and place them into the bowl.
  • Sprinkle in some Cheddar Cheese and mix.
  • Heat the Alfredo Sauce.
  • Once heated to perfection, pour it into the bowl.
  • Sprinkle in some Cheddar Cheese and mix.
  • Place the Pepper/Onion in a skillet and cook until slightly roasted looking.
  • Once its cooked, place it into the bowl.
  • Put the rest of the Cheddar Cheese in the bowl and mix.
  • Add a dash of Seasoned Salt (Amount varies to your preference) and mix.
  • Add another dash of seasoned salt (Amount varies to your preference) and mix.
  • Place the ingredients into a large baking dish.
  • Place the 8 slices of Cheese on top of the ingredients.
  • Layer the Bread Crumbs evenly across the top.
  • Bake (Covered) with foil for 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake (Uncovered) for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and layer the top with Bacon Bits.
  • Let stand for 3 minutes to cool.
  • Serve and Enjoy!
