This Chili Recipe is perfect for a family of four or less with the possibilities for leftovers for the next day.
For a stronger boost of flavor, then substitute the can of Petite Diced Tomatoes for a can of Fire Roasted Tomatoes. If you want a subtle boost of flavor, then substitute the can of Petite Diced Tomatoes for a can of Italian Style Diced Tomatoes.
For a Spicier Meal, then add more Cayenne Pepper and add Pepper Jack Cheese for the topping upon serving. If you want your Chili to be chunkier, then add more Beef and/or Beans.
Ingredients:
- (1 lb.) Ground Beef
- (1) 32oz Beef Broth
- (1) 15oz Can of Tomato Sauce
- (1) 14.5oz Can of Petite Diced Tomatoes
- Alternative: (1) 14.5oz Can of Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes
- Alternative: (1) 14.5oz Can of Italian Style Diced Tomatoes
- (1) 12oz Can of Tomato Paste
- (1) 14.5oz Can of Pinto Beans (Drained)
- (1) 15.25oz Can of Black Beans (Drained)
- (1/2) Onion (Chopped)
- Olive Oil
- Minced Garlic
- Ginger
- Onion Powder
- Turmeric
- Sea Salt
- Cayenne Pepper
- Parsley Flakes
- Crushed Basil Leaves
- Oregano
Directions:
- Place the Onion into a large pot with Olive Oil (Amount should be just enough to sauté with) and sauté them on medium heat.
- Once sauté is complete, then add the Minced Garlic (Amount varies to your preference) and continue to sauté on medium heat.
- Add the Beef inside the pot and cook thoroughly.
- Add the Broth and heat to a boil, then turn down the heat to a gentle boil for 5 minutes.
- Add Ginger and Onion Powder (Amount varies to your preference) then mix and continue the heat on medium heat for 3 minutes.
- Add the Tomato Sauce then mix and continue the heat on medium heat for 3 minutes (Covered).
- Add the Petite Diced Tomatoes then mix and continue the heat on medium heat for 3 minutes (Covered).
- Add the Turmeric and Sea Salt (Amount varies to your preference) then mix and continue the heat on medium heat for 3 minutes (Covered).
- Add the Tomato Paste then mix and continue the heat on medium heat for 3 minutes (Covered).
- Add the Black Beans then mix and continue the heat on low-medium heat for 3 minutes (Covered).
- Add Cayenne Pepper and Parsley (Amount varies to your preference) then mix and continue the heat on low-medium heat for 3 minutes (Covered).
- Add the Pinto Beans then mix and continue the heat on low-medium heat for 5 minutes (Covered).
- Add Basil Leaves and Oregano (Amount varies to your preference) then mix and continue the heat on simmer for 10 minutes (Covered).
- Remove from heat and let it sit (Covered) for 5 minutes to cool.
- Serve with crackers, tortilla chips, and/or cheese for a special touch to the dish and Enjoy !
