This Homemade Pasta Sauce is perfect for 3-4 servings of spaghetti, depending on your preference on how much sauce each serving is wanted.
This Recipe can be used on any dish that warrants a spaghetti-like sauce to the dish. It’s a great alternative to purchasing the overly expensive premade jar sauces at the store.
Ingredients:
- (1) 15oz Can of Tomato Sauce
- (1) 6oz Can of Tomato Paste
- (1/2) Onion (Diced)
- (2 Tbsp) Minced Garlic
- (1/4 Cup) Water
- (1 Tbsp) Butter
- (1 Tbsp) Sugar
- Grated Parmesan/Romano Cheese
- Olive Oil
- Lemon Juice
- Sea Salt
- Black Pepper
- Basil
- Oregano
- Chia Seeds
Directions:
- Place the Onion and Garlic in a pan with Olive Oil (Amount should be just enough to sauté with) and sauté them on Medium heat.
- Once sauté is complete, then add the Tomato Sauce then mix and continue the heat on Medium for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the Water then mix and continue the heat on Medium for 1 minute.
- Add the Tomato Paste then mix and continue the heat on Medium for 3 minutes. Stir occasionally for duration of 3 minutes.
- Add the Butter then mix and continue the heat on Medium-Low for 2 minutes.
- Add the Sugar then mix and continue the heat on Medium-Low for 30 seconds.
- Add the Cheese then mix and continue the heat on Medium-Low for 30 seconds.
- Add Lemon Juice (1-2 squirts), Salt, Pepper, Basil, Oregano, and Chia Seeds (Amount varies to your preference) then mix and continue the heat on Medium-Low for 1 minute.
- Simmer the Ingredients for 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and use as needed.
