This Nacho Recipe is great for a family of two or more to enjoy.
The Alternative Addition(s) for the Refried Beans make cooking the Beans easier and tastier. The Meat Alternatives provide other options based on individual preference for meat source. The Alternative for the Cheese provide a creamier and smoother Cheese texture than Shredded Cheese.
Ingredients:
- (1) Bag of Tortilla Chips
- (1) 16oz Can of Refried Beans
- Alternative Addition(s):
- (1) 10oz Can of Rotel
- (1-2 cups) Shredded Cheese “Mexican Style”
- Alternative Addition(s):
- (1 lb) Ground Beef
- Alternatives:
- (1 lb) Ground Turkey
- (1 lb) Ground Chicken
- Alternatives:
- (½ lb) Applewood Smoked Bacon (Cooked & Diced)
- Alternative: (½ lb) Hardwood Smoked Bacon (Cooked & Diced)
- (½) Red Onion (Diced)
- (1) Jalapeno (Sliced)
- Green Leaf Lettuce (Chopped or Shredded)
- (3-4) Stalks of Green Onion (Chopped)
- (½) Bundle of Cilantro (Chopped)
- Sour Cream
- (3) Roma Tomatoes (Diced)
- (1) 8oz Bag of Shredded Mexican Styled Cheese
- Alternatives:
- Velveeta Cheese
- Nacho Cheese
- Alternatives:
- Salsa
Directions:
- Cook the Refried Beans according to the package or until the beans are smooth and easily stirred.
- Cook the Ground Beef thoroughly in a pan with medium-high Heat (Types and Amounts of Seasonings for the Beef varies to your preference).
- Layout the Chips onto your dish of your choice.
- Add layers of Beans, Beef, and Bacon (respectively) across the Chips.
- Add Red Onion, Jalapeno, Lettuce, Green Onion, Cilantro (Respectively) onto the dish.
- Add a little bit of Sour Cream across the top.
- Add Tomatoes and Cheese (Respectively) onto the dish.
- Add a little bit of Salsa across the top.
- Serve and Enjoy !!!
